About Us

Gender-Based Violence and Reproductive Justice Committee Mission Statement: PHR SAB's Gender-Based Violence and Reproductive Justice Committee aims to empower medical students to advocate for reproductive health and provide care that is equitable, inclusive, comprehensive and evidence-based. This committee works to create frameworks and initiatives that support PHR’s goals “to impunity for sexual violence and to bring justice to survivors” and to protect “the right to reproductive autonomy and health”.

Goals:

-> update committee educational materials

-> create legal status tracker: tool for students to visualize rapidly changing legislation in this space

-> create resource toolkit: place to find resources on the intersection between environmental health and reproductive justice
